Server room and network modernization

View details
Infrastructure

We replaced aging hardware and restructured the network: segmentation, a backup link, new monitoring.

The client operated a production environment built around its own server room, expanded gradually over several years by different administrators. The infrastructure lacked consistent documentation, and the company relied on a single internet connection with no backup solution. The absence of clear visibility into hardware condition and network configuration made it difficult to assess operational risk reliably.

We began the project with a full technical audit: hardware inventory, network topology mapping, and identification of single points of failure. Based on these findings, we prepared a modernization plan covering the replacement of outdated switches, network segmentation into production, office and guest zones, and the deployment of a backup internet connection with automatic failover. Each phase of the work was scheduled to minimize disruption to the client's ongoing operations.

Following the rollout, the infrastructure now runs on a documented, predictable architecture, and a monitoring system with alerts allows the technical team to respond to issues before they affect users. The client also gained reference material to plan further development of the environment.

What we implemented

Full hardware inventory and network map
Replacement of outdated switches
Network segmentation: production, office, guests
Backup internet link with automatic failover
Infrastructure monitoring with alerts

Full IT support takeover

IT outsourcing

We took over support from the previous vendor: documentation, monitoring and on-call coverage live within two weeks.

The client had ended its relationship with its previous IT administrator and needed a partner to take over full responsibility for its technical environment without disrupting the team's daily work. The situation called for rapid action: system documentation was outdated, and part of the knowledge about the infrastructure's configuration existed only with the previous provider.

We began the takeover with a detailed audit of the existing state: user accounts, access levels, licences, and hardware and software configuration. In parallel, we implemented a company-wide ticketing system, set up continuous monitoring of key services, and organized technical on-call coverage outside standard business hours. The entire handover was completed within two weeks, with no interruption to the client's systems.

Today, the whole organization reports technical issues through a single, standardized channel, and the average first response time to a critical ticket is under 15 minutes. The client gained predictable IT maintenance costs and the assurance that responsibility for the infrastructure no longer rests with a single individual.

What we implemented

Review and documentation of existing systems
Clean-up of accounts and permissions
Company-wide ticketing system
24/7 monitoring of key services
After-hours on-call support

Security audit before certification

An audit and remediation plan before an external review, without stopping production systems.

Ahead of a planned ISO 27001 certification, the client wanted an independent assessment of the actual security posture of its systems before it was reviewed by a certification auditor. The organization had never conducted a full security audit, and the tight certification timeline required precise, efficient execution.

We carried out security testing within agreed time windows, including controlled intrusion attempts, a review of server configuration and access permissions, and an assessment of incident-response procedures. Every stage of testing was agreed with the client in advance to minimize risk to the production environment. We identified more than a dozen issues of varying severity and prepared a remediation plan with clearly defined priorities.

Fixes were implemented without stopping production systems, and the client's team continued working normally throughout. After remediation, we performed a retest confirming the effectiveness of the changes, allowing the client to proceed to certification with documented evidence of due diligence.

What we implemented

Security testing in agreed time windows
Review of server and permission configuration
Assessment of incident-response procedures
Prioritized remediation plan
Retest after fixes were implemented

Deployment automation for a Magento store

E-commerce · Magento

Manual Magento deployments replaced with a CI/CD pipeline, automated tests and fast rollback.

The client's development team deployed changes to its Magento platform entirely by hand: files were copied over SSH, the cache was cleared manually, and each release, taking roughly half a day, was scheduled late in the evening due to the risk of errors. This process limited how often changes could be released and slowed the team's response to business requests.

We designed and implemented a CI/CD pipeline covering an automatic build, a regression test suite, and deployment triggered by every change pushed to the code repository. The process also includes automatic rollback if an error is detected, significantly reducing deployment risk. We designed the entire workflow so the client's team could run it independently, without our involvement.

A release that previously took roughly half a day of the team's time now takes about 40 minutes and can be run at any time, without having to schedule it outside business hours. The development team gained the ability to ship smaller, safer changes more frequently.

What we implemented

CI/CD pipeline with automatic build and tests
Automatic deployment on every repository change
Automatic rollback on failure
Removal of manual cache clearing
Deployments possible at any time

Infrastructure audit: cloud or on-premise

IT audit

We compared the cost and risk of migrating to AWS against keeping the server room, and pointed to one direction.

The client was considering migrating its infrastructure to a public cloud but lacked the data to determine whether the decision was economically justified, what risks it carried, and what should happen to the existing server room. The migration had been under consideration for some time, but the absence of a rigorous analysis kept the decision on hold.

As part of the audit, we analysed current infrastructure load, the cost structure of maintaining hardware and licences, and estimated the cost of an equivalent environment on AWS. The analysis also covered non-cost factors: the risk of vendor lock-in, the expected migration timeline, and the skills the client's team would need to develop to manage a cloud environment independently.

The audit resulted in a report recommending a single, well-substantiated course of action, along with a timeline and cost estimate for its implementation. The client gained a solid basis for an investment decision and clarity on the financial and organizational implications of the chosen scenario.

What we implemented

Analysis of current load and maintenance costs
Cost calculation for an AWS equivalent
Risk comparison: vendor lock-in, rollout time
Assessment of the skills shift needed in the team
Report with one recommendation and a rationale

n8n automations: email and live translation

View details
Automation · AI

We built n8n workflows: flagging suspicious emails and translating live chat conversations with customers.

The client reported two independent, recurring operational problems: the security team manually reviewed every email reported by employees as potentially malicious, and customer support spent a significant share of its time translating real-time conversations with foreign customers.

We addressed both problems using the n8n automation platform. The first workflow screens reported emails for characteristic phishing patterns and automatically flags those requiring human attention, leaving only the final decision to a person. The second workflow integrates with the customer support chat system and translates messages in real time, allowing an agent to write in Polish while a foreign customer reads the message in their own language.

Both solutions run in the background, with no change to the tools the team already used, reducing time spent on manual work by roughly 70 percent and shortening response time to suspicious messages.

What we implemented

n8n flow detecting phishing patterns in emails
Automatic flagging of suspicious messages
Live chat translation for customer conversations
Integration with the existing helpdesk system
Configuration and documentation handed to the team
